Job RoleApplication Support AnalystJob LocationMississauga, OntarioJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst with strong technical and communication skills to provide 24/7 support for our core record‑keeping system. The candidate will investigate high‑priority tickets, deliver timely updates to clients, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and resolve high‑priority tickets, providing timely updates to clients.Provide on‑call support and work shifts, including weekends for product releases.Support month‑end and year‑end batch processing as per schedule.Communicate directly with end‑user clients regarding application and system issues.Analyze database logical and physical structures and test stored procedures, functions, and triggers.Create and maintain Query SQL and SEQUEL database views, including ad‑hoc queries for data analysis.Debug embedded SQL COBOL ILE programs and assist in the modification of existing applications.Document defect corrections and provide short‑term and long‑term solutions.Perform root‑cause analysis and guide incident management processes.Coordinate with offshore and global teams and various client stakeholders to provide technical solutions.Support release and change management activities and monitor application logs and ticket feeds.Exercise judgment using established procedures to determine appropriate action plans.QualificationsMinimum 7 years of experience as an Application Support Analyst, with at least 4 years in a 24/7 setting.Strong written and oral communication skills.Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and ability to build ad‑hoc queries.Experience with mainframe systems: AS400, COBOL, DB2.Familiarity with IBM i (IBMi)
