Job Description

Child caregiver – private home.

Location: Mississauga, ON L5J 3B8.

Work location: On site.

Salary: 20.85/hour, 35.00–40.00 hours per week.

Term: Permanent, full time. Work hours: Early morning, evening, morning, day, and weekend.

Start: As soon as possible.

Responsibilities

- Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Maintain a protected and healthy environment in the home
- Organize activities such as games and outings for children
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Supervise and care for children
- Tend to emotional well‑being of children

Qualifications

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Minimum of 6 months experience in child care
- Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, judgment,



organization, reliability, patience, honesty
- Background check: criminal record check required
- Weight handling: up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- Public transportation available; travel expenses paid by employer
