In this role, you will plan, design, create, edit, and review courseware content in various formats, ensuring the delivery of clear, engaging, and effective training materials. This position demands a strong focus on customer service, innovative training methodologies, and a commitment to precision and quality.ResponsibilitiesLearn complex training and simulation concepts to generate content that is clear, concise and aligned with the Engineering/Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) guidelines.Plan, design and create new courses in various learning content formats, including conventional manuals, eLearning modules, video‑based content, and distance learning.Manage course updates and new courses development as individual projects, ensuring deadlines, milestones and project objectives are met.Act as a subject‑matter expert (SME) for specific products or solutions to support team members, while also leveraging their expertise.Conduct thorough reviews and quality assurance testing of peer‑developed courseware to ensure accuracy, consistency, and clarity.Deliver training to internal teams and customers, including conducting “train the trainer” sessions as required.Communicate regularly with management to provide updates on projects, schedules, priorities,
and responsibilities.Support the training department with additional tasks and responsibilities as required.Track and report the status of project technical documentation to ensure alignment with project timelines.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other technical documentation duties, as assigned.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Programming or a related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in courseware development, including instructional design and content creation.Experience in instructor‑led training delivery is considered an asset.Robust analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.Proficiency in XML Structured Data, the use of XML Schemas and experience using XML in an authoring environment.Exceptional technical writing skills, with a strong command of English grammar and the ability to create clear, precise and engaging content.Programming skills are an asset.Proficient in working as part of a collaborative team and capable of performing under strict deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.Project management skills, including the ability to manage course creation and updates as structured projects with defined milestones and deliverables.Experience in developing and delivering training for defence or simulation systems is highly desirable.Travel to various training facilities as required (primarily within Canada).Proficiency in French (spoken and written) is an asset.Will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and
