The Near North District School Board is Hiring!Casual Educational AssistantsEffective ImmediatelyLocation: Sturgeon Falls AreaThe Educational Assistant duties of this position are likely to include, but are not limited to, working with students with autism, behavioural exceptionalities, physical and developmental disabilities. The position will involve working as a team member in a special education program, delivering alternative program goals, therapy goals, sensory breaks, toileting support, communication needs, and outings.Qualifications:Two-year post-secondary certificate or diploma in the social services fieldKnowledge/Skills Required:Experience working with a variety of student exceptionalities including but not limited to: medically complex, autism, developmental disabilities and physical disabilitiesBroad knowledge of a variety of support strategies including ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis), Behaviour Management Systems, CPS (Collaborative Proactive Solutions)
