Construction CarpenterLocation: Sudbury, OntarioJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: $27.00 per hourAbout the PositionFHR Construction Ltd. is looking for an experienced Carpenter to join our growing construction team. We complete a variety of residential and commercial construction and renovation projects and are seeking a dependable individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well with others, and is committed to maintaining a safe work environment.Responsibilities- Interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine measurements, material requirements, and the sequence of work for each project.- Build and install wood structures for new construction and renovation projects.- Assemble wall systems, floor systems, roof structures, and other framing components.- Install finishing materials such as trim, mouldings, doors, windows, hardware, shelving, and cabinetry as required.- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble building materials to ensure accurate installation and a high-quality finished product.- Repair or replace damaged structural and finishing components during renovation and restoration work.- Work closely with supervisors and other trades to coordinate daily tasks and ensure projects remain on schedule.- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment required to complete assigned work.- Verify measurements and inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.- Maintain a clean, organized,



and safe work site while complying with all company safety policies and applicable workplace health and safety requirements.- Assist with general construction activities and support other team members as needed to meet project deadlines.Qualifications- Previous experience working as a Carpenter in residential and/or commercial construction.- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.- Experience using a wide range of carpentry hand tools and power tools.- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality workmanship.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Physically capable of lifting construction materials and performing demanding manual work.- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety.- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are considered an asset.Working Conditions- Work is performed at various residential and commercial construction sites.- Regular lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights may be required.- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on project schedules.Compensation and Benefits- Competitive hourly wage.- Overtime pay in accordance with applicable employment standards.- Vacation pay.- Opportunities for career growth and career development.- Supportive, team-oriented work environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
