The ideal candidate for this position is someone who works hard to get clients the most value for their money whether that is through income tax savings, skilled fee reduction, business consulting, etc. We value people who take initiative to consider operations and give clients expert advice.Main Job DutiesPreparation of compilation engagement financial informationPreparing personal and corporate income tax returnsEffectively communicate with clients in person as well as via email, telephone, and web portalSkillsExperience using Caseware Working Papers, QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Sage 50, and ExcelUnderstanding of fundamental bookkeeping principles and HST requirementsExperience preparing T1 personal, T2 corporate, and T3 trust returnsAbility to work independentlyDemonstrates initiative in assessing client situations, applying professional judgment,



and developing practical solutionsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse client baseFamiliarity with AI tools and willingness to incorporate them appropriately into daily workflowQualificationsAt least one year of public accounting experience; current employment in the field is considered an assetActively pursuing the CPA designation — either PEP-eligible and ready to enrol, or currently enrolled and progressing toward the CFEProficiency using CaseWare Working Papers is considered an assetEligibility to work in CanadaLocation and HoursAbility to commute or relocate to work in person at our office located five minutes outside of Tilbury, ON.Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm with the ability to work overtime through tax season (mid-February through April 30)Flexible hours available upon discussionOn site with opportunity to work from home in the off seasonCompensation$50,000- $75,000 based on experience and qualifications2 weeks paid vacation plus the christmas holiday through to the new years day holiday paid off.There is no upper limit on compensation for this role as the firm continues to grow, and we look forward to prospering together with the successful candidateEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity within our firm.
