Seize the opportunity to teach .10 FTE Core French at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic School starting September 2, 2026. This LTO position ends on June 30, 2027, pending teacher return.
The role requires current certification from the Ontario College of Teachers and specialized qualifications in French as a Second Language. Engage with students in a supportive workplace and help promote their linguistic development. You will play a key role in an anti-racist and equitable culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Core French curriculum to diverse students
• Create lesson plans tailored to student needs
• Evaluate and report on student learning outcomes
• Work closely with other educators for curriculum improvement
• Promote inclusivity and respect within the classroom
Requirements:
• Active certification with the Ontario College of Teachers
• Valid Junior/Intermediate teaching qualifications
• Completed Part 1 of French as a Second Language course
• Ability to engage with students from many backgrounds
• Flexibility in teaching strategies and approaches
