The company is actively seeking applicants for the Childcare Worker position at our Daycare. The applicant should be a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be required to commence work at the earliest opportunity. It will be Permanent employment or a Part-time job. The shift timings include Day and 14:00 to 18:00.
- The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining daycare equipment.
- The candidate must encourage children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
- The candidate must engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
- The candidate must plan and maintain an environment that protects children’s Health, safety, and well-being.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities for school-aged children in childcare programs before and after regular school hours.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the French language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have a CPR Certificate.
- The candidate must be punctual.
- The candidate should be dependable.
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
- The candidate should be flexible.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a valuable team player.
- The candidate should prioritize values and ethics.
- The candidate must be creative.
- The work environment is smoke-free.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in before- and after-school programs to provide a safe and fun environment for all students to participate in academic, leisure, and recreational activities outside the traditional school day.
Experience and specialization
- The candidate must have experience caring for children.
Security and safety
- The candidate must undergo a criminal record check and a medical examination as part of the security and safety requirements.
- The candidate must have proof of immunization.
Transportation/travel information
- The candidate must have their transportation.
Work conditions and physical capabilities
- The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
- The candidate must be willing to work long hours in positions that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
