You will leverage your mechanical experience in combination with your safety focus to produce quality products in a timely manner.## **Job Description:*** Responsible for assembling components in the powertrain category in accordance with OEM specifications, standard hours and quality metrics* Must be capable of assembling powertrain components with minimal supervision**Qualifications:*** HET Journeyperson ticket, or interprovincial Red Seal,



is required* Preference given to those who fall within the value stream & qualify as defined in Schedule C* Multiple years’ experience working on heavy equipment powertrain components* Understanding of powertrain components and how they function* Understanding of proper torquing procedures* Capable of operating basic service tools as well as all critical analog measuring devices including dial bore gauges and micrometers* Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions* Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively* Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds* A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator* Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a secure manner & comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures**Note:*** This posting is for a static afternoon shift scheduled Monday - Thursday; 10 hours per day*Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement* Applicants must apply with either an updated Professional Profile on Workday or attached resume to be considered* Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment* Hourly Rate: $53.05 / Hour**Union Membership:** This is a unionized position.
