The role includes managing resources, training, recruitment and performance management. Have a key role in driving future reporting technology solutions. Responsible to manage client requests and meetings to review portfolio results and trending. Through the analysis the successful candidate will identify key trends, root causes,
and future impact assessments to generate key insights and opportunities to solve business problems.Responsibilities & DeliverablesEffectively lead a team of experienced Portfolio and Reporting analystsLead the team through a period of transition currently underway in terms of both technology/tools as well as roles and responsibilitiesAs a data scientist perform analysis on Loans portfolio that may include, in depth long-term performance, behavioral and uptake trends, as well as service delivery & campaign effectivenessIdentify new emerging trends as well as the associated drivers and future impact assessmentPrepare and present findings to key stakeholders' groups including clients and senior managementContribute to pilot and campaign support which includes performing post-mortem analysis, campaign design, population segmentation, and executionContribute to the design and implementation of recent risk models and campaigns to improve borrower engagement and the portfolio performanceEnsure data and reporting integrity used by the team and, where applicable, work with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve themIdentify and facilitate required changes to existing data/reports or new KPI’s/reports necessary to meet the changing business and client needsIdentify and effectively communicate emerging trends and changes within Student Lending KPI’s inclusive of participation in client face to face portfolio reviewsAdvance Nelnet's innovation and digital transformation agenda by increasing automation and efficiency within the Analytics & Insights teamRequired ExperienceAbility to gather, compile,
and data mine information and effectively communicate complex findings and recommendations in an easy to understand and professional manner to internal and external stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across the business and build solid working relationshipsEnjoys working with tight deadlines and through periods of change management and transition with competing prioritiesExperience in an analyst role and leading people is an assetStrong MS Office skills inclusive of experience writing in VBA, SQL, Python, and Power BIPrevious experience with Digital or Business transformation an assetDemonstrated leadership, communication, negotiation and people management and development skillsAs part of our hiring process, we may use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to help screen and shortlist applications.
