This role combines deep accounting expertise with strategic financial analysis and cross‑functional collaboration to support business decisions. It also involves interaction with external auditors, C‑level management, and the global team at VCNA’s parent company.What Will You Do?Interact with internal and external auditors, banks and consultants to comply with tax and regulatory requirements for quarterly reviews and year‑end audits, aligned with best practicesOversee the accounting policies and procedures, including the implementation of current accounting standards and resolution of complex accounting issuesResearch technical accounting issues and prepare accounting memos in accordance with IFRSPrepare material presentations and support files for managementLead the consolidation and Financial Statement elaboration process, including reviews from the Global team, Audit Committee, external auditor partners,
and BOARD membersLead monthly accounting activities such as accounting schedules and consolidated reportsAssist less experienced positions on the team to deal with complex tasksFinancial AnalysisPerform financial analysis to support business strategy decisions, including monthly, quarterly and yearly analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement variations vs budget and prior periodsUnderstand management needs and structure reports accordinglyCross‑Functional CollaborationWork closely with marketing, sales, finance, and operations to align strategy with business capabilities and objectivesProvide analytical support to various teams in the development of business cases, new accounting standards (IFRS), and accounting assessmentsCommunicate strategic insights and recommendations to executives and key stakeholdersAuthority / Decision MakingThis role involves a mix of independent decision‑making and collaborative input, requiring autonomy in conducting research and analysis while working closely with senior leadership to guide strategic decisions.InitiativeProactively identify opportunities, take independent action and drive strategic initiatives with minimal supervision.Job KnowledgeThis role focuses on accounting standards (IFRS) and accounting routines such as variation analysis, month/quarter/year end procedures and financial statements.Problem SolvingAbility to understand and apply accounting policies and proceduresAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to oversee less experienced team membersWhat Do You Need to Succeed?Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of financial terms, economic models, market analyses and feasibility studies in the cement industryAbility to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with all levels of the organizationBilingual proficiency (English and Portuguese) would be considered an assetAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
financial reports or governmental regulations; ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to employee groups and management at all levels of the companyMathematic SkillsAbility to develop and interpret financial models and financial statements and apply mathematical operations to tasks such as analysis of variance and correlation techniques.Computer SkillsStrong knowledge of spreadsheet software and presentation software.Other RequirementsEmployees may be required to perform any other job‑related instructions as requested by their supervisor.
