Job title: Project Officer – Building Opportunities for Youth Rexdale (BOYR)Location: Hybrid (In-Person & Virtual – Toronto, Rexdale)Reports to: Project ManagerDuration: ASAP to March 31, 2027 (with renewal opportunity)Compensation: $50,000 – $55,000ResponsibilitiesYouth Recruitment, Program Delivery & EngagementLead outreach and recruitment efforts to enroll youth participants (approximately 35 youth per cohort); Conduct participant intake, screening, and onboarding processes; Build trusting relationships with youth and provide ongoing support throughout the program lifecycle; Maintain consistent communication to support retention and engagement; Coordinate and support delivery of workshops, including pre-employment training, life skills, mentorship sessions, and civic engagement activities; Schedule sessions,confirm facilitators, and manage participant logistics; Assist in adaptingprogramming based on participant needs and feedback; Model UN (MUN) & Employment PathwaysSupport the planning and execution of a key program component, the Model United Nations (MUN) conference, including participant preparation, logistics, and coordination; Support youth in identifying career interests and employment pathways; Assist with job search activities, resume development, and interview preparation; Connect participants with employment, training, and volunteer opportunities; Engage with local employers and partners to identify opportunities for youth placement; Data, Administration & Community EngagementMaintain accurate records of participant data, attendance, and outcomes; Support monitoringand evaluation activities, including surveys, feedback collection, and reporting requirements; Contribute to progress reports and program documentation; Build and maintainrelationships with community partners, schools,



and service providers; Support outreach effortsand promote program visibility within the Rexdale community; Participate in communityevents and engagement activities; Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Project Manager; Assist with communications, scheduling, and documentation; Other duties as assigned.Relevant Qualifications And ExperienceRelevant experience or degree in Social Services, Child & Youth Work, Social Work, or equivalent degree/diploma; Experience workingwith youth, particularly racialized and underserved communities; Experience in program coordination, recruitment, or community outreach; Understanding of systemic barriers, including anti-Black racism and challenges faced by marginalized youth; Experience supporting employment readiness or workforce development programs is an asset; Proven experience in collecting and organizing data and supporting reporting processes; Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of Canada’s population diversity; Knowledge of project coordination and ability to work with various stakeholders; Excellent group facilitation and training skills; Knowledge of, or experience with, Model United Nations (MUN), global affairs, or civic engagement programming is considered an asset; Ability to work asa member of a team; Excellent communication skills.NoteA criminal record check will be required; however, it should not be a deterrent from applying.Equal Chance EmployerUNA-Canada is committed to building a network of employees that reflects and harnesses the Canadian diversity.
