UHN is a leading research hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto and focuses on innovative biomedical research and patient care.Position SummaryRespiratory Therapists provide respiratory therapy service 24/7 to patients in the Intensive Care Units, Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, Post Anesthetic Care Rooms, Wards and other specialty areas such as the Hyperbaric Medicine Unit at Toronto General Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital.Location & Working HoursToronto General Hospital / Princess Margaret Hospital, Ontario. 37.5 hours per week, various shifts (days, nights, weekends). Temporary full time position until September 2027.Salary$40.34 - $50.43 per hour, commensurate with experience.DutiesAssisting with airway management and responding to all cardiac and respiratory arrest, trauma.Attending intra- and inter-hospital transports of critically ill patients.Administering specialty aerosolized and MDI medications.Serving as a resource for nurses, residents and allied health personnel in respiratory/airway care.Teaching patients to use respiratory therapy equipment for both hospital and home care.Performing diagnostic tests such as bedside spirometry, oxygen saturation,
