We provide high-quality, comprehensive programming for 200 campers/week aged 4 to 14, spanning Arts + Media, Sports + Adventure, Nature + Wellness and Science + Discovery. As part of our camp team, you will make a difference by creating opportunities for fun, friendships, and skill development!We're looking for passionate Signature Camp Activity Leads to join our team! The Activity Lead is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing high-quality recreational and educational activities for campers in our Signature Camp program. This role requires creativity, strong leadership skills, and the ability to design developmentally appropriate programming aligned with camp themes. We are looking for Activity Leads in the areas of: Arts + Media, Sports + Adventure, Nature + Wellness and STEM. This person will ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that encourages learning, exploration,



and positive social interaction in each of these areas.Mandatory Training Dates: Online April 22 and May 20 from 3:00-5:00pm and in-person June 22 – 25 2026 from 8:30am-4:00pmContract dates: June 29 – August 7, 2026 *preference given to candidates who can work all weeksHours: 8:15am-4:00pm (7.75 hours/day) from Monday-FridayResponsibilities, not limited to:Leadership & Program ManagementAssume active leadership of the camp group, managing all activities, logistics, and program adaptation (weather, progression). Lead the detailed delivery of specialized and camp-style programs (developmentally appropriate, inclusive and engaging) that promote curiosity, creativity and skill-building, while coordinating necessary supplies and resources. Work collaboratively and delegate duties to counsellors assigned to your group.Safety, Risk & SupervisionEnsure the physical and emotional safety of all campers and staff by actively supervising and assessing and mitigating risks throughout the day. Ensure that everyone is included and engaged in activities. Actively manage risk by enforcing all camp policies, safety guidelines, and emergency procedures, and promptly reporting incidents.Team Development & Professional ConductOversee, support, and mentor Groups Leads and Camp Counsellors, serving as a positive, respectful role model for the entire camp community. Foster leadership development through delegation and a collaborative approach. Exemplify excellent customer service and communication, particularly when dealing with parents/guardians.Operational & AdministrativeMaintain accurate records (attendance, incident reports), a clean, safe environment, and ensure careful use of equipment. Demonstrate punctuality, organization, and flexibility to adapt to changing duties, staffing, and enrollment needs. Attend all scheduled meetings/training.



Provide Before and/or After Care during assigned shifts.Required Qualifications:Completed secondary educationMust have completed specific training/education, and/or have sufficient experience in one area of specialization (Arts + Media, Sports + Adventure, Nature + Wellness and Science + Discovery)Camp experience or experience leading programs for children/youth strongly preferredCurrent Standard First Aid/CPR certification required before start of campProven leadership skills developed through progressive responsibilityExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCriminal Reference Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check (working with children) is required and will be coordinated and paid by CollingwoodAbility to take charge, problem solve and motivate others while working independently with minimal supervisionAbility to collaborate with and lead a wide variety of ages and demographic groups (4-10 yr. olds)Demonstrated reliability, and positive attitudeProof of legal entitlement to work in CanadaWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements:Able to work in an outdoor workplace in all weather conditions (i.E.: heat)Participate and engage in all types of outdoor & indoor activities, including but not limited to running around, sitting on the ground, etc.Lifting and moving camp equipment and supplies from one location to anotherWalking and/or standing for long periods of time (3+ hours at a time, 7+ hours per day)Respect, dignity and inclusion for all members of the communityCollaborative mind-set and courageous approach to adversityDemonstrated communications skills (oral and written)Creative "out-of-the-box" thinkerFlexible and adaptable and embraces changeProven work ethic with utmost integrityEnthusiasm, eagerness and genuine interest in all aspects of the school's successSelf-awareness, with a desire for constant self improvement (goal-oriented)The hourly pay rate ranges from $25 to $40, depending on education and experience.This job opportunity offers mentorship from the Camps Leadership team, and; an amazing summerwith a supportive team, filled with fun opportunities of leadership development and growth with weekly fun staff social events!Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until all positions are filled.
