Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of litigation matters
- Draft pleadings, applications, legal opinions, and other court materials
- Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies
- Participate in examinations for discovery, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Communicate directly with clients and provide practical legal advice
- Collaborate with experienced partners and other members of the litigation team
Qualifications
- Called to the provincial bar and in good standing
- Relevant experience in civil, commercial, construction, or insurance litigation
- Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively within a team
- Excellent judgment, communication, and client-service skills
- A genuine interest in continuing to develop a sophisticated litigation practice
