Employment Consultant – IT AcceleratorLocation: ScarboroughContract Length: 1‑year contract with opportunity for extensionSalary: $59,658.42 per annum (prorated to contract duration)Job Description: The Employment Consultant is responsible for providing employment services for clients. Duties include:Provide culturally sensitive employment services including intake and assessment, one‑to‑one and group employment counseling, and referrals.Facilitate workshops that prepare clients to market themselves to employers and to find and maintain employment.Develop and maintain positive relationships with community organizations and partners to make appropriate referrals.Maintain an active caseload, including all file management responsibilities.Advocate on behalf of clients whenever necessary, including support in areas of employment, skills training, social assistance, and equitable access to services.Meet monthly statistical requirements and maintain professional and effective information tracking systems on all activities performed.Conduct needs assessments and career testing in individual and/or group settings.Provide professional support to clients using ACCES resource services.Develop relationships with private and public sector employers to market ACCES services and clients and place clients in jobs.Participate fully and responsibly as an equal member of an employment consulting team.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Experience:Post‑secondary education in Career and Work Counseling, Adult Education or a related field and/or 5 years directly related work experience.Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and self‑management skills to work effectively with clients, co‑workers, outside agencies and employers.Thorough knowledge of all facets of job search and career development including an understanding of labour‑market trends and resources.Demonstrated ability to conduct outreach and marketing of clients and services to employers.Demonstrated experience in case and file management.Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.Online facilitation experience is a strong asset (e.G., Zoom, MS Teams).Experience working in an MS‑Office environment; familiarity with digital platforms and databases (Salesforce preferred).Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate is an asset.Fluency in a second language will be considered an asset.Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekend hours.A vulnerable sector check is required.Employer Liaison – Integrated Employment Services (IES)Location: NewmarketContract Length: 1‑year contract with possibility of extensionSalary: $59,658.42 per annum (prorated to contract duration)Job Description: Responsible for developing employment opportunities for ACCES clients.



Duties include:Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to employers.Liaise with community professionals and employers to create competitive jobs and employment opportunities.Monitor all placements, oversee training plan development and conduct ongoing follow‑ups to ensure successful employment outcomes.Integrate work with all ACCES staff, particularly with the Employment Consultant team.Provide employment preparation and employability group sessions and individual resource centre support when required.Provide culturally sensitive employment services including intake and assessment, one‑to‑one and group employment counselling and referrals when required.Arrange job fairs and networking events.Other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications and Experience:Business Degree or equivalent.3 or more years’ experience in job development, employer outreach, employment counseling and/or recruitment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of labour‑market information and trends and in‑demand occupations.Experience in the not‑for‑profit sector and/or employment sector is preferred.Demonstrated ability to work and co‑operate in a team.Strong organizational, planning and time‑management skills.Ability to facilitate group activities.Effective networking skills.Proficient in an MS Office environment and with online virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams).Familiarity with online platforms and database management programs (Salesforce).Experience working with marginalized communities, including newcomers who may be experiencing employment barriers is an asset.Experience in business development, sales, B2B recruitment is considered an asset.Experience with Employment Ontario Programs is an asset.Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekend hours.Employment Consultant – Integrated Employment Services (IES)Location: NewmarketContract Length: 1‑year contract with opportunity for extensionSalary: $59,658.42 per annum (prorated to contract duration)Job Description: Responsible for providing integrated employment services for clients.
