Wage:

$48.23 per hour (full time) + benefits according to LiUNA collective agreement

Location of Work:

Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Province of Ontario

Job Description:

- Assisting senior bricklayers with preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles and other masonry units
- Laying and cutting bricks, stone, concrete blocks
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units and other decorative installations
- Repair walls, partitions, paved surfaces, chimneys, etc.
- Remove and replace existing masonry work for alterations or restorations
- Assisting with waterproof masonry
- Handling wheelbarrows to transport materials
- Use hand and power tools to cut/trim masonry units to required size




- Use trowels to spread mortar and use measuring and layout tools like plumb line and levels to ensure proper alignment of structures being worked on

Job Requirements:

- 3 or more years of experience as a bricklayer helper/apprentice
- Ability to work at heights
- Critical thinking (problem-solving, decision-making)
- Collaboration (teamwork)
- Able to navigate complex work environments and drive positive outcomes
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with precision and under pressure
- Be mindful and follow health and safety rules

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Physically demanding; Handling heavy loads; Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.
