Lead financial management at the Arrell Food Institute located in Guelph, Ontario. This temporary part-time role supports externally funded programs with a focus on sustainable initiatives.
The University of Guelph is seeking a Financial Manager to oversee financial administration for the Sustainable Food Systems for Canada initiative. You will collaborate closely with program managers and ensure compliance with institutional budgets and agreements. Key responsibilities include managing transactions, monitoring financial health, and generating financial reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day financial administration and invoicing
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and prepare forecasts




• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and risks
• Support procurement and financial administration of contracts
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready financial records
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in finance or related field
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
• Minimum three years of relevant financial experience
• Robust analytical and organizational skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
