Overview

Do you make an impact on the people you meet? Do you have a charismatic personality and love engaging with people, both customers and colleagues? If this sounds familiar, we want you on our team. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will create a positive impression that customers take away along with their purchases of wine, beer, and spirits. You will be working on site.

Responsibilities

- Engage with customers, share product knowledge and provide a best‑in‑class customer experience, whether operating computerized cash registers or on the store floor.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, interacting and creating positive experiences with customers, co‑workers, wholesale and trade representatives.
- Assist with receiving inventory, unloading trucks, handling product, replenishing stock, and maintaining Customer Ready Standards.
- Perform job rotational duties that occasionally include repetitive lifting of cases up to 40lbs, standing continuously, and processing customer transactions while leaving a phenomenal lasting impression.

Qualifications

- Enjoy working with the public and recognize exceptional customer service, delivering it consistently with every customer.
- Be eligible to work in Canada and be at least 18 years of age.




- Agree to submit to a criminal background check at your own expense prior to commencing work. A satisfactory record issued within the past six months is sufficient.

Working Hours and Availability

Hours for casual employees depend on operational requirements and are scheduled per the Collective Agreement. Typically assigned during peak periods (evening and weekend shifts) or when extra help is needed. You must be available during peak business periods such as Christmas or tourist periods. Hours are not guaranteed but are scheduled in advance by the store manager; you may be called on short notice. Dress code: black shirt, pants, and shoes for the duration of your shift.

Union and Compensation

Union dues are currently 1.35% of gross earnings. Salary is $20.82 per hour. Benefits include an Employee & Family Assistance Program, a Defined Benefit Pension, discounts on products and services via Workperks, and other comprehensive benefits.
