OverviewCommunity Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR), a Spectrum Health Care Company, is seeking Registered Occupational Therapists in Port Perry to provide high-quality, ministry-funded occupational therapy services to adult clients in the community. This independent contractor role offers a highly adaptable work schedule with part-time or full-time opportunities based on your preferred caseload. Compensation is per visit, allowing you to focus on delivering client-centered care. including:Home safety and home modificationsEquipment prescriptionFall preventionMobility and physical functioningCognitionStroke rehabilitation and chronic conditionsDevelop and implement evidence-based intervention plans in collaboration with clients and caregiversAssign, supervise, and monitor occupational therapy assistants as appropriateEducate clients and caregivers and connect them with relevant community agencies and resourcesComplete funding applications when requiredMaintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation, including:Assessment findingsCare plansProgress and discharge summariesReports aligned with referral source requirements and COTO standardsQualificationsRegistration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)Ability to work independently within a community-based modelStrong communication, documentation, and clinical reasoning skillsExperience in community practice is an asset, but new graduates are welcomeValid G or G2 driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle for community travelProficiency with computer applications, including MS Office Suite and proprietary clinical softwareEEO/AccommodationIn accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act 2005, support will be provided for accommodations throughout the recruitment process upon request.
