Become a Behavioural Student with Sprucedale Care Centre, located in Strathroy, Ontario. This role focuses on managing responsive behaviours through person-centered communication in a supportive setting.
In this position under the guidance of the Director of Care, you will collaborate with the Behavioural Support Manager to provide specialized care for older adults with mental health disorders. Your role will emphasize kindness, dignity, and respect while addressing residents’ emotional needs through effective communication and care strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support residents with meaningful, person-centered language
• Establish connections through therapeutic communication
• Collaborate in delivering and documenting care plans




• Assist residents with dining needs during meal times
• Facilitate activities aligned with resident interests
Requirements:
• Ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Capacity to manage stress while working with diverse clients
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays
• Complete a current Vulnerable Sector Check
