OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drafting Manager to join our growing team. The Residential Drafting Manager leads the drafting and design operations, overseeing the production of construction drawings for single-family, multi-family, and custom homes. This role ensures all plans comply with the Building Codes, municipal bylaws, and permitting requirements, while promoting efficient construction, cost control, and customer satisfaction. The position manages the drafting department and works closely with estimating, construction, sales, and external consultants to deliver accurate, buildable, and timely designs.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a team of residential drafters and architectural technologistsEstablish and enforce drafting standards, templates, and workflowsManage team capacity and assign projects based on priorities and timelinesConduct performance reviews, training, and continuous developmentDrafting & DesignOversee the preparation of construction drawings including:Production homesSemi‑custom and fully custom homesMulti‑family residential (duplexes, townhomes)Review and approve drawings for accuracy, constructability, and completenessEnsure compliance with:Manitoba Building CodeLocal municipal zoning bylaws (e.G., setbacks, lot coverage, height restrictions)Energy efficiency requirements (e.G., insulation values, ventilation standards)Maintain and evolve standard plan libraries and construction detailsPermitting & Regulatory CoordinationOversee preparation and submission of permit‑ready drawing packagesCoordinate with municipalities such as City of Winnipeg Planning,
