Be a vital part of meal services at Extendicare as a Dietary Support Aide. This part time role offers a chance to enhance the dining experience for residents.
You will report to the Dietary Manager, assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to our residents. Your duties include setting up dining areas and maintaining cleanliness, while also catering for special occasions. As a Dietary Support Aide, you'll also train newcomers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting resident rights.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve meals in a qualified and courteous manner
• Set up and prepare service items like beverages and desserts
• Clear tables and assist with tray deliveries
• Clean dishware and maintain kitchen hygiene
• Engage in training for new dietary team members
Requirements:
• Must hold a Food Handler's Certificate
• Previous food service experience preferred
• Enrollment in Food Service Worker program
• Strong customer service abilities
• Physical ability to lift and stand for long periods
