Become a Direct Support Skilled with Karis Disability Services, working in Prince Albert to support adults with disabilities. This casual role is all about promoting independence and community engagement.
In the Supported Independent Living program, your main task as a Direct Support Professional will be to deliver one-on-one guidance to adults facing barriers such as mental health or low-income challenges. Acting as a mentor and advocate, you'll help them develop crucial skills for engaging with their communities. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you excel in your role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Help clients develop independent living abilities
• Mentor and encourage personal growth




• Advocate for individuals’ needs in the community
• Create a positive and supportive atmosphere
• Ensure compliance with documentation and training
Requirements:
• Mandatory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Access to reliable transportation required
• Experience in relevant sectors preferred
• Dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion
• Empathetic and supportive approach to client engagement
