Role OverviewOur Toronto office is currently seeking a Senior Manager System Reporting & Pricing to join the Accounting team reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The Senior Manager works with Business Users and the IT department to develop, validate, and implement technology solutions and new business practices for financial processes to maximize the utility of the firm’s practice management system (3E) and other non‑3E interfaces, including the Partner Dashboard.ResponsibilitiesPractice Management Reporting & AnalysisWork closely with the IT department to identify and prioritize issues and develop action plans for financial systems, coordinating Finance and IT resources.Act as the business owner of the 3E system and Lawyer Dashboard, providing stewardship and maintaining data integrity.Define and analyze areas for process improvements in collaboration with IT and key stakeholders.Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions, leveraging accounting/finance acumen.Act as an agent of change to improve the existing financial system for all users.Collaborate with the CFO, 3E Reporting team and other enterprise applications to enhance reports and dashboards, including the matter budgeting tool, profitability model and partner/associate compensation reports at year‑end.Develop cross‑functional relationships with Marketing, IT, Practice Group Chairs and other stakeholders.Maintain change‑order processes with appropriate documentation.Refine KPIs and financial dashboards to support strategic business plans.Pricing AnalysisSupport the Firm’s Business Intelligence and Pricing Analyst and collaborate with CFO, Senior Manager and Finance team to build pricing analysis and reporting capabilities.Leverage industry data,
competitive intelligence and internal analytics to formulate pricing strategies across practice areas.Mentor and collaborate with lawyers, Practice Group Chairs and Marketing to evaluate the financial impact of alternative fixed‑fee arrangements (AFA) and determine best‑ and worst‑case scenarios.Assist lawyers and Marketing in offering flexible pricing alternatives that meet profitability targets while responding to new business opportunities and RFPs.Assist CFO in approving special rate discounts and client AFA requests.Provide lessons learned and recommendations for improvement.Coordinate with Practice Group Chairs and the firm's annual billing rate increase process.Project ManagementAct as the Finance representative for internal projects, working with PMO, IT, and stakeholders on current software tools, process improvements, dashboards, and firm‑wide enterprise models.File Opening ManagementLead and manage the File Opening team, ensuring adherence to firm‑wide policies and guidelines.Approve file opening exceptions, ensuring completeness and timeliness of data submissions.Collaborate on designing a new business intake system that enhances client growth strategies and complies with all internal,
