Job DescriptionMainframe Developer – Credit Card DomainWe are looking for aMainframe Developer with strong Credit Cards domain experienceto design, develop, and supportmission‑critical credit card processing applications. The role involves working onhigh‑volume batch and online mainframe systemsthat support theend‑to‑end credit card lifecycle, ensuring stability, performance, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain mainframe applications supporting credit card issuing platforms.Work across card lifecycle modules, including:Account setup & card originationAuthorization & transaction processingBilling, statements, interest & feesPayments, collections, disputes & chargebacksDevelop and enhance batch and online (CICS) programs for large‑scale transaction processing.Technical ResponsibilitiesHands‑on development using:COBOL / COBOL IIJCLCICSDB2VSAM (KSDS / ESDS)Handle job scheduling, restarts, abend resolution, and performance tuning.Perform root‑cause analysis (RCA)



for production incidents and implement permanent fixes.Integration & Platform SupportSupport integrations with:Card networks (Visa / Mastercard)Fraud & risk systemsCore banking and downstream systemsImplement scheme‑mandated and regulatory changes impacting card processing flows.Participate in platform upgrades, enhancements, and modernization initiatives.Testing & Production SupportSupport unit testing, system testing, UAT, and production releases.Provide L2 / L3 production support for card applications.Prepare and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.Required Skills & ExperienceMust Have6–10+ years of hands‑on Mainframe development experience.Strong experience in Credit Cards domain (issuer side preferred).Expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, batch & online transaction processing.Experience working in high‑volume, mission‑critical banking systems.Solid analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.Mandatory: Application Modernization – Mainframe experience (8–10 years).Domain Knowledge (Mandatory)Credit card transaction lifecycleAuthorization, clearing & settlementBilling cycles, interest, fees, paymentsDisputes & chargebacksRegulatory and card‑scheme driven changesCompensationCAD 100,000 – 150,000Equal Opportunity StatementWipro provides equal opportunities to all and values diversity.
