The Foot Care Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients with foot-related health issues in clinic settings, retirement homes, Long Term Care homes, and/or clients’ private homes. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of foot conditions, with an emphasis on preventing complications and improving patient outcomes.Job DescriptionPerform thorough foot assessments, identify risk factors, and develop individualized care plans according to evidence-based practices.Provide preventive care and treatment for foot conditions, including managing skin issues, trimming nails, addressing calluses, and treating ulcers and wounds.Implement strategies for pressure relief and offloading, particularly for high-risk patients.Educate patients on daily foot care, proper hygiene, and appropriate footwear, offering counselling and support to promote overall foot health.Follow strict infection control protocols and adhere to best practices for infection prevention,
