Successful candidates may be considered for current or other upcoming opportunities.**Areas of Focus:** • Provincial Programs: Income Assistance, PPMB, PWD, Tenancy • Federal Benefits: CPP, CPP-D, OAS, Survivor Perks, EI, Disability Tax Credit (DTC), Canada Disability Benefit, Child Tax Credits, Overpayments & Reviews • Other Legal Issues: Debt, Consumer Law, Workers’ Compensation (WCB).**Responsibilities:** • Provide a full spectrum of advocacy services in Poverty Law • Support clients through information, referrals, form completion, written communications, negotiation, and representation at hearings • Assess client eligibility, legal issues, and entitlements • Research laws and policies to evaluate case merits • Advise clients on legal rights and options • Represent clients before decision-makers (oral and written submissions)



• Maintain organized client files and conduct conflict checks • Collaborate with legal team and Executive Director for case guidance • Document and report work-related activities • Liaise with individuals and community groups to assess legal needs • Uphold high professional standards in policy, file management, and communication • Perform other duties as required**Job Type:** Full-time, Part-time, On call**Salary:** $25.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on experience.**Start Date:** To be determined based on organizational needs.### Qualifications**Qualifications Essential:** • Completion of two years of secondary school or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • Knowledge of local community resources and poverty-related issues • Proficiency with computers, data entry, and database systems • Ability to work effectively with clients facing sensitive challenges • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Self-motivated with excellent case management, planning, and organizational skills • Ability to interpret legislation, regulations, and policies • Discretion and ability to manage confidential information**Assets:** • Post-secondary education or training in Criminology, Psychology, Sociology, or related social programs • Two years’ experience in a related field • Experience working with Indigenous communities and/or urban Aboriginal service organizations**Conditions of Employment:** **• Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance** **• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.** **• Must meet Law Foundation contractual requirements**### How to ApplySubmit your resume and cover letter to: are accepted on an ongoing basis.
