Job Description
As a Tax Compliance Specialist,responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare Canadian and US taxreturns
- Collect and organize additionalsupporting documentation or responses to tax authority notices anddecisions
- Identify outstanding informationon files and reach out to clients and practice staff as required
- Work with client engagement teamas necessary to complete work assignments
- File Canadian and U.S. Taxreturns
Qualifications
What you will bring to this role:
- Enrolled in relevantundergraduate degree in business, accounting or related field
- Experience with accounting orfinancial services; prior tax preparation experience of Canadian and US taxand/or bookkeeping or other related accounting functions would be anasset
- An interest in upskilling for adigital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools andadapting how you work
- A demonstrated commitment tovaluing differences and working alongside diverse people andperspectives
- A strong grasp of technologyincluding Microsoft Office and an aptitude for excel, complexcalculation
- Ability to work effectively underpressure without compromising professional standards or quality of works anddata analysis
- Effective written and verbalcommunication skills, ability to communicate and manage expectations withclients
- Demonstrated self-motivation anda desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development
- Vialto Value Network (VVN) servicesall Canadian time zones, therefore business hours will vary and overtime isrequired
Additional Information
- Please note this is a 3-6 monthfull-time contract opportunity, starting from Jan 2027 (with the possibility ofextension).
- Tax Compliance team members workon a hybrid schedule, in office 2-3 days per week - (mandatory training in theoffice)
- Hourly rate range for thisposition is CAD $22.50-$25.50
