The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is looking for a committed Feeding Assistant to work casually from Monday to Friday. Your responsibilities will include assisting students with meal times, promoting independent eating, and preparing them for outdoor play after lunch. Solid communication skills and quick response to emergencies are vital for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support students in developing independent eating skills
• Provide hand-over-hand assistance during meals
• Help dress students for outdoor play after lunch




• Set up meals to cater to individual student needs
• Communicate effectively with students and staff
Requirements:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies
• First Aid and Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training is a plus
• Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector required
• Completion of Ministry mandated training prior to start
