Electrical Engineer – Building Design Location : Ontario Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: 4+ years Salary : $80k - $120k About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our growing Building Services team. This role involves designing and delivering electrical systems for a range of commercial, institutional, and mission critical facilities. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to project documentation, and ensure designs meet technical, regulatory, and client requirements. Key Responsibilities - Design electrical building systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, life safety, grounding, and low-voltage systems. - Support the planning, modeling, and documentation of electrical systems using Revit and AutoCAD. - Prepare technical drawings, specifications, reports, and calculations. - Coordinate with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams to ensure integrated design solutions. - Conduct site visits, field reviews, and assist with construction administration. - Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and best practices. - Contribute to project scheduling, cost estimating, and quality control.



Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. - P.Eng designation or actively working toward professional licensure. - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical design for buildings (commercial, institutional, and/or mission critical preferred). - Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required. - Solid understanding of Canadian electrical codes, building codes, and industry standards. - Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Experience (Nice to Have) - Experience with mission critical facilities (e.G., data centers, telecom, healthcare, labs). - Knowledge of lighting design software (e.G., AGi32, DIALux). - Familiarity with energy modeling or sustainability certifications (LEED, WELL, etc.).
