Vice Principal, Curriculum and InnovationSchool District 57 is seeking visionary, collaborative, and student‑centered leaders to join our Principal and Vice Principal Pool over the next 12 months.ResponsibilitiesCurriculum and LeadershipDemonstrated knowledge of the Ministry of Education K‑12 curriculum and the Graduation Program and implementation of the current learning theory as related to instruction and assessmentLead the alignment of instructional practices with district and Ministry prioritiesUse student learning data to guide planning, monitor progress, and support continuous improvementEnsure coherence and consistency in instructional practices across schoolsSupport effective use of MyEducation BC (MyEd BC) for data management, reporting, and system coordinationLiteracy, Numeracy, and Career Education LeadershipLead the implementation of evidence‑based literacy and numeracy practicesSupport the use of assessment data and screening tools to inform targeted instruction and interventionGuide the development and implementation of district‑wide numeracy initiativesAdvance Career Education (K–12) by supporting experiential learning and meaningful connections to post‑secondary pathways, careers, and community contextsProfessional Learning and Instructional LeadershipDesign and facilitate high‑quality professional learning in assessment and instructional practices, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Indigenous perspectives and ways of knowing, and technology‑enhanced learningBuild educator capacity through coaching, mentorship, and collaborative inquirySupport leadership development in Principals and Vice Principals to advance equity‑focused practicesFoster inclusive,



safe, and caring learning environments grounded in positive relationships and supportsDemonstrate culturally responsive leadership, particularly in support of Indigenous learnersPromote a shared vision that enhances student engagement, well‑being, and achievementEngage effectively with students, staff, families, and community partnersAlign human, financial, and curricular resources with district and school prioritiesModel effective instructional practices and support high‑quality teachingLead strategic planning and school improvement effortsSupport staff growth through supervision, coaching, and professional developmentUse data to evaluate progress and refine strategiesQualificationsHolds a British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch certificationA Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related fieldMinimum five years of successful teaching experience and demonstrated school leadership experienceDemonstrated leadership in curriculum, assessment, and school improvementExceptional collaboration skills to enhance student achievement through engagement with students, staff, parents, and community organizationsThe ability to foster strong employee relations and effective management practices within a energetic educational and unionized environmentStrong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skillsSelf‑awareness and commitment to personal growthCommitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous learningBenefitsThe annual pay range for Vice Principals in 2025 is $142,993 to $150,652.
