As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be essential in testing and operating HVAC units within a commercial/industrial workplace. The role requires a positive understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers and the ability to fill out testing reports accurately. You must be able to safely electrify connections and identify operational hazards effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct tests to ensure HVAC units operate efficiently
• Fill out testing reports accurately for each unit
• Safely connect electrical lines using PPE
• Operate HVAC units and perform shutdown procedures
• Identify and mitigate hazards during unit operation
Requirements:
• Certified Journeyman Electrician in Alberta or equivalent
• Basic computer and mechanical skills
• Solid communication abilities in verbal and written formats
• Ability to read electrical schematics and manuals
• Working knowledge of electrical test meters
