Contribute to senior care as a Rehabilitation Assistant with Good Samaritan in Alberta and British Columbia. Support residents with rehabilitative activities under qualified supervision to enhance their mobility and independence.
As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. This role requires effective communication and the ability to assist residents in various rehabilitative tasks. Your support will directly enhance patients' quality of care while encouraging their active participation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with mobility and strengthening exercises
• Support dressing and toileting needs during treatment
• Transport residents to rehabilitative programs
• Report observations to the therapist or nurse
• Maintain and organize equipment and workspaces
Requirements:
• Completed Rehabilitation Assistant Program with recent experience
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with dementia residents
• Strong organizational skills and physical capability
• Current Criminal Records Check and tuberculosis screening
