OverviewSedgman is currently seeking an experiencedFinance Business Partnerto join our Vancouver, B.C. office location.TheFinance Business Partner(or Finance BP) is the key finance contact within the North American business units (BU) to ensure accurate and timely month end budgeting and forecast reporting. He / She will play a key role in developing, implementing and analysing the reporting activities of the BU.This is a hands-on, stand-alone role that provides the required financial and systems support to the Business Units in North America. The incumbent will be able to identify new opportunities through their financial leadership, and provide leading and innovative solutions focused on value.This is an exciting time at Sedgman as we are positioned for rapid growth; Come join a team of forward-thinking, enthusiastic, results-driven and collaborative professionals.What does this role involve? Main ResponsibilitiesResponsible for accuracy and timely reporting of business unit results; Coordinate andassist in the analysis of monthly performance providing meaningful explanations of variances to budget and forecast for projects and overheads; Assist with weeklychargeability and utilisation calculations; Review and provideassistance with timesheets and cost rate calculations and queries; Identify and assist in the streamlining processes, e.G., month end accruals, budgeting and forecasting process, billings and cash collections etc.; Liaise with auditors for interim and full year reporting to provide analysis and evidence of related balances; Utilize full cycleAR and AP knowledge to support the team,



including preparing necessary journals and accruals to ensure an accurate and timely month end close; Conduct financial analysis on prospective customers; Provide required training to the business unit on relevant matters; Support ad-hocreport requests; Prepare weeklyand monthly cashflow forecasts; Prepare GL reconciliations; In country liaisonfor insurance improvement; Provide assistanceto the corporate tax team on GST, PST, and QST mattersQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and/or CommerceProfessional designation - CA/CPA qualified or studying towards a qualificationMust have 5+ years of relevant work experience in financial / management accounting roles within a large corporate environment (preferably in Professional Services)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced Excel modelling skillsProblem solving and analytical skillsAbility to prioritise and control workload arising from a broad user baseExperience working with large ERPsMS Office suite, MS Project skills requiredWill be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorshipWhat’s in it for you?Opportunity to work on Global projects, be connected to other Sedgman companiesSupport Sedgman’s cutting edge innovation & technology developmentCollaborate with other Sedgman offices globally and other Sedgman and CIMIC owned companies,
