The Municipality of Brenda-Waskada is seeking a motivated, dependable, and safety conscious individual to join our Public Works department as a part time Public Works Labourer.

This position offers up to 40 hours every two weeks, with flexibility on days and hours.

The successful candidate will assist with the construction and maintenance of roads and sidewalks, operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems, operation of public works equipment, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

- ? Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- ? Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver?s license
- ? Ability to operate/maintain various vehicles and heavy equipment
- ? Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ? Able to lift 50+ pounds
- ? Mechanical and electrical aptitude




- ? Willingness to participate in training and professional development
- ? Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ? Courteous and respectful interactions with the public, supervisors, co-workers and Council.
- ? Ability to participate in standby and overtime when required
- ? Ability to work as backup for recreation facility

Preferred Additional Qualifications (preference will be provided to those who possess):

- ? Small Water & Wastewater Certification
