Support residents in their daily lives by joining Extendicare as a Healthcare Aide. This part-time role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for individuals with complex medical needs.
In this position, you will be responsible for assisting residents in maintaining their independence through supportive care. A valid Health Care Aide certificate and registration on the HCA Directory are required. Your ability to follow instructions and commit to the role will ensure the best care for our residents in your designated facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance with daily living activities
• Engage in care planning to meet residents’ needs
• Uphold safety regulations during care practices
• Contribute to best practice initiatives in care
• Attend all required training for development
Requirements:
• Valid Health Care Aide certificate and HCA Directory registration
• Experience working with dementia patients preferred
• Solid communication skills in English
• Demonstrated accountability and excellent attendance
• Flexibility in handling busy assignments
