Contribute to community well-being as a Part time Community Mental Health Worker with Coast Mental Health. Deliver housing support services and empower clients to achieve independent living.
In this casual position, you will work directly under the guidance of the Department Manager. Your main responsibilities will include facilitating life skills training, providing psychosocial rehabilitation services, and advocating for client needs. Each shift will focus on engaging clients with community resources and supporting their journey towards self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement daily life skills programs with clients
• Provide community-based psychosocial rehabilitation services
• Teach self-care strategies and independent living skills
• Advocate for clients’ rights and dignity
• Observe and record clients' health status
Requirements:
• Diploma in Community Social Service or equivalent
• Two years of related experience
• Certificates in First Aid + CPR, WHMIS, and FoodSafe
• Clearances for Criminal Record, TB, and Immunization
• Robust understanding of harm reduction practices
