Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy Services, the temporary full-time pharmacist will provide clinical coverage to a variety of clinical areas. There are no requirements for overnight or on-call shifts for pharmacists at the Brant Community Healthcare System.

Primary Responsibilities

Safety (patient, worker & workplace) is a BCHS Corporate Priority. The successful applicant will demonstrate valuable stewardship in the identification, reporting and mitigation of unsafe acts or conditions.

Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree.
Licensed (Part A) Pharmacist in the Province of Ontario
Experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy environment preferred

Self-motivated and keeps current with the latest in drug therapy with continuing education
Good computer and keyboarding skills utilizing PC applications for reports and special assignments
Able to participate in shift and weekend schedule as per rotation
Practices in accordance with relevant legislation, CSHP standards and other relevant practice documents, professional code of ethics and department and hospital policies
Assumes personal responsibility for continual upgrading of medication and therapeutic knowledge through wide-ranging means (including ongoing literature review within pharmacy scope and other key medical journals to remain up-to-date on clinical pharmacy practices).
