We are looking for a highly organized Shop supervisor to create production schedules and oversee production & project processes while leading the team with excellent leadership skills. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that equipment is functioning correctly and that health and safety protocols are adhered to. To be successful as a Shop Supervisor you must be able to multitask and oversee several operations at a time.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and complete projects on time within budget and within scope.Oversee all aspects of projects: set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress.Implement, control and review the production schedule.Assist in defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.Ensure resource availability and allocation.Set and monitor quality standards of products.Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.Prepare and update the project schedule and delegate work to the team based on individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement.Schedule regular maintenance for equipment.Implement cost control programs.Order and purchase required materials and equipment.Manage inventory, cycle count, periodic count,



etc.Manage shipping and receiving of production items.Report any non-conformances related to products and shipments.Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety regulations.Manage relationships with clients and all stakeholders.Guide designers through their projects by reviewing and approving the design and ensuring quality meets standards.Train personnel on new equipment and review all equipment and safety procedures based on necessity and scheduled performance reviews.Ensure the workplace is secure and clean through task delegation and education of personnel.Perform other related duties as assigned.Experience and SkillsMinimum 3 years of production control supervisory experience.Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Problem solving abilities and conflict management.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.EducationA degree or post-secondary education in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related technical field.Proficiency in MS Office Suite software; advanced Excel skills.CompensationExpected compensation: $55,000 - $75,000 per year.
