Managing Consultant – Group BenefitsWe are looking for a detail-oriented and client‑focused Managing Consultant to manage and grow a portfolio of group benefits clients. In this role, you will serve as a strategic advisor, delivering tailored solutions, actionable insights, and exceptional service to plan sponsors and administrators.ResponsibilitiesSet strategic consulting plans for client relationships.Identify cross‑sell opportunities that add value for clients.Review plan performance and client files to understand the claims experience.Prepare market specifications using internal and external quoting systems.Analyze data and multiple carrier proposals, prepare cost comparisons, facilitate finalist presentations, and recommend the best option for the client.Perform ad‑hoc investigations of claims data to explain trends to clients.Collaborate with analysts and underwriters on renewals, reporting, and reviews, creating commentary presented to clients.Provide technical and peer review work for analysts and associates.Coordinate new business implementation.Prepare documents for client presentations and deliver in‑person client information.Support working relationships with Plan Sponsors, Administrators, and Representatives.Reach across the organization to leverage expertise for client concerns or upsell/cross‑sell opportunities.Track ongoing work and update workflow systems regularly.QualificationsBachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
relevant to Commerce or Business Administration.Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in group benefits in a client‑facing role.Understanding of the group perks industry including funding arrangements.Life license (LLQP) required.Customer service‑oriented mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.Comfort working with multi‑channel technology.Valid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicle.CEBS is an asset.BenefitsLearning by working alongside experts.Extended medical, dental, and vision coverage.Retirement savings plan with company contributions.Health & Wellness suite, including mental health programs and support for you and your family.Assistance for completion of industry designations.Competitive compensation.CompensationThe base salary for this position is between $90,000 – $110,000 annually.
