With a customer‑first mindset, we make doing business with McCain easy.About The RoleThe Senior Manager, Global CapEx Spend is accountable for end‑to‑end ownership of the Global Capital Expenditure Plan, ensuring disciplined planning, allocation, and utilisation of capital investments on a worldwide scale. This leadership role champions excellence in capital prioritisation, investment governance, and spend optimisation to deliver strategic value and competitive advantage for the business. The incumbent collaborates closely with global and regional stakeholders to align capital investments with long‑term business objectives and reports to the Global Head of Engineering & Maintenance.What You’ll Be DoingLead the annual capital plan update, providing a detailed outlook for the upcoming year and a strategic 5‑year view, translating the company’s business strategy into clear regional expectations and consolidating site‑specific capital plans into a single global plan.Conduct regular reviews with regional teams and global stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Agriculture, REO, IS, D&R;) to track capital plan performance, assess actual spend against plan, identify breakdowns and collaborate on breakthrough opportunities.Consolidate global capital plan data monthly into a single, consistent database with project‑level detail.Serve as an active member and secretary of all major project execution committees globally.Participate in the selection team for the Project Management Digitisation tool and PMM practice.Maintain and update the monthly Global Capital Dashboard in the Global Operations Analytics Hub (Power BI), ensuring accurate and timely visibility of capital performance and KPI tracking.Lead formal E0/1/2/3 quarterly financial updates, aligning and validating regional capital forecasts, managing the global “contingency” line, and balancing total spend through trajectory analysis, optimisation, and incorporation of new initiatives.Oversee the annual SAP setup for new fiscal year project creation,
ensuring proper closure of the previous year and preventing incorrect uploads or unauthorized manipulation.Represent Global Engineering on Regional Capital Committees, providing guidance on processes, procedures, and new directives, ensuring alignment between global and regional plans and escalating issues when required.Prepare and co‑lead the quarterly Global Investment Committee, defining agendas, coordinating regional presentations, and presenting the capital progression section with clear data for decision‑making.Support the Global Engineering Town Hall and related activities, aligning agendas with the Engineering Leadership team, preparing materials, and presenting the Capital Update section.What You’ll Need To Be SuccessfulUniversity degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.8‑10 years of progressive experience in capital planning, financial management of capital assets, project management, and investment governance in the food industry (operations experience is a plus).Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative business relationships at global and regional levels.Proven strength in influencing strategic decisions and facilitating alignment across complex, cross‑functional groups.Superior communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to lead through delegation and accountability, driving multiple priorities and initiatives.Robust understanding of capital planning and investment optimisation principles across multinational organisations.Deep knowledge of the business, preferably across multiple regions and markets.English required; knowledge of another language is a plus.Willingness and ability to travel internationally, supporting strategic objectives and stakeholder engagement up to 25%.Pivotal role leading to a senior project management role or a sub‑regional engineering management role.Location close to a McCain Hub.About McCainClick here to learn more about McCain and how we provide you with opportunities to make an impact that matters.Leadership PrinciplesAt McCain, our leadership principles guide how we engage with customers,

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
