including disciplinary action where necessaryLead change management initiatives to establish and reinforce proper procedures across the department and with operational staffMonth-End Close & Financial ReportingLead the monthly close process within the established 12-15 business day timeline without requesting extensionsReview and calculate cost to complete reports, performing variance analysis and preparing financial statement notesPrepare and review monthly financial reporting packages for head office consolidationPrepare 12-month revenue forecasts by project for senior managementCoordinate the annual year-end audit, respond to auditor inquiries including variance analysis, and ensure staff provide requested information on timePurchasing Oversight & Stakeholder SupportApprove invoices on a daily basis, verifying receipt of goods, dollar amounts, and correct job cost allocationMonitor purchasing activity to ensure materials received are recorded in the correct period to maintain cost to complete accuracyWork closely with the purchasing team to enforce proper procedures and improve tracking disciplineProvide timely and readable financial information and reports to VPs, project managers, and senior leadershipEscalate unresolved collections, billing, and compliance issues by engaging directly with operational staff in person when necessaryTHE COMPANYA well-established construction company with a strong presence in the commercial and industrial space, managing a diverse portfolio of active projects.
