This position bridges general student services support with specialized innovative programming. You will actively manage a small caseload of students requiring learning support, while also overseeing the Junior School Makerspace—a vibrant hub where boys create through inquiry-based projects and iterative engineering challenges.As a faculty member, you will also engage in the school’s vibrant community by participating in the co-curricular program (athletics, arts, academic, or community clubs) for two out of three terms.We are looking to hire teachers who embody St. George’s School’s core values: empathy, integrity, humility, respect, responsibility, and resilience.Key Responsibilities1. Student Services, Gifted Programming & Inclusive PracticesWork directly under the umbrella of the Student Services department, actively participating as a core member of the School-based Team (SBT).Write, monitor, and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Student Support Plans (SSPs) for students with learning needs.Lead formal IEP meetings twice yearly with all relevant stakeholders, including parents, administrators, and classroom teachers.Provide specialized learning enrichment opportunities to students across the curriculum.Create, adapt,



and apply planned activities and differentiation strategies that support and celebrate different learning styles, ensuring all students succeed.2. Makerspace, Robotics & STEM ProgrammingDesign and lead projects that allow students of all abilities to engage with real-world tasks, encouraging them to iterate and push themselves toward complex engineering solutions.Collaborate with classroom teachers to align Makerspace projects with grade-level standards, specifically in Science, Math, and Language Arts.Collaborate with the ADST team to instruct students in age-appropriate STEM principles, robotics (e.G., Edison, LEGO Spike, Vex), and block-based coding to solve specific engineering “missions.”Oversee the safety and functionality of tools ranging from low-tech cardboard cutters and hot glue guns to advanced 3D printers, power machinery, and lathes.3. Faculty Collaboration & Culturally Responsive PedagogyPartner with classroom teachers to co-plan lessons, integrating pre-assessments, co-teaching methods, and instructional strategies that support diverse learners.Act as a resource and consultant for staff to aid with differentiation, and provide training/support to faculty as new educational technologies or software are implemented.Ensure the Makerspace is a culturally responsive, accessible environment where all students—regardless of interest, age,
