- Plan and deliver weekly training to students, grade 3-7 (Monday to Thursday before and after school; 7:15am-8:00am and/or 3:00pm-5:00pm)
- Act as a supervisor for students both in weekly practices and at meets
- Provide mentorship, training, and support to students
- Support and develop the leadership ability of students
- Read, understand and observe all processes and procedures outlined in the Crofton House School Athletic Coaches Handbook
- Receive input from other coaches, if applicable, on decisions related to athlete selection for competition entries.
- Maintain open communication with the school administration and parents of cross-country students
- Maintain accurate meeting attendance records of students
- Be available to meet with the Athletic Coordinator to review progress and future plans
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times
- Uphold the CHS Identity and Commitments
- Other responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- 1 + years of experience coaching cross country or similar experience
- Demonstrable awareness of the learning styles of girls and young women
- Committed to the standards of qualified practice
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation
Total Compensation: up to $2,000 depending on experience and availability.
