Mental Health Registered Nurse (Bilingual)

Description
Full‑time, on‑site contract opportunity for a Bilingual Mental Health Registered Nurse (RN) with three (3) years of experience. This role is part of Military Health Services. Monday to Friday schedule with day shifts only (no nights, no weekends).
Our Mental Health Nurses (MHNs) provide mental health services in a primary health care setting. Responsibilities include assessment, nursing diagnosis, development and implementation of care plans, crisis intervention, counseling, and life skills programming in the clinic.
Provide counseling services in individual and/or group therapy sessions using CBT, DVT, or motivational interview techniques. Candidates must be skilled in bio‑psychosocial assessments and medication management from inpatient and outpatient perspectives.
Education / Qualifications
Registered Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses.
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized college or university with either a certificate in Mental Health Nursing or certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial qualified college or association in the province of practice.
Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent such as Cardio‑pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/AED) Level C. Annual recertification is required.
Must be able to provide care in both English and French.
