Safety, Health and Risk Management ConsultantAO2 Administrative Officer 2 – Regular/full-time – Setting and Climate Change – Winnipeg, MB.Salary: AO2 $64,153.00 - $78,773.00 per year. Closing Date: May 24, 2026.The Manitoba government is seeking a highly motivated Safety, Health and Risk Management Consultant to work with the Department of Environment and Climate Change. The role provides leadership and guidance on provincial and federal health and safety legislation, presents consultative services, and interprets policies for department staff.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and guidance to employees, supervisors, managers, and directors on applicable provincial and federal acts, regulations, and recognized safety standards.Interpret legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures for department staff.Conduct investigations, audits, and site inspections.Design and facilitate training programs on safety and risk management.Advise on best practices and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of safety legislation.QualificationsEssentialDegree, diploma or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).Working knowledge and experience with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and related legislation.Experience conducting investigations, audits, and site inspections.Experience designing and facilitating training programs.Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical,
