Project Estimator

Spirit Omega Inc. is seeking a Project Estimator on behalf of our client to support high-voltage transmission projects. The successful candidate will develop cost estimates, perform quantity take-offs, review drawings and specifications, and support project budgeting and execution.

Responsibilities
Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates for transmission and substation projects.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
Complete quantity take-offs and determine labour, equipment, and material requirements.
Identify project risks, assumptions, contingencies, and cost drivers.
Support budgeting, business cases, and contractor estimate reviews.
Maintain estimating databases and Basis of Estimate documentation.
Collaborate with Engineering, Construction,



and Project Management teams.

Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
5+ years of estimating experience in construction, utilities, transmission, or heavy civil projects.
High-voltage transmission and substation estimating experience is an asset.
P.Eng., C.E.T., or equivalent designation is an asset.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License.

Required Certification
CSTS (Construction Safety Training System) certification, or equivalent.
