Key ResponsibilitiesReview controls and procedures across Fund Services on a periodic basisIdentify and implement process improvements and system enhancements across the Transfer Agency DepartmentMonitor operational risk across the Business and assist with the enhancement of the existing operational risk frameworkOperational risk scenario modelling and analysisAssist in building out and training the current teamsKeep up to date on all regulatory and internal risk updates that impact the business, ensuring the Operations teams have the necessary knowledge and systems in place to deal with the updatesManage oversight outsourcing for funds contracted from other jurisdictions and monitor/enhance the KRI metrics for the DepartmentManage international client relationshipsInteract with hedge fund principals and their investorsReview, understand and discuss fund governing documents with staff and clientsResponsible for all aspects of operations and controls functions: process subscriptions, redemptions, transfers and switchesEnsure the control framework and documented Transfer Agency procedures and policies are in line with regulations both locally and globallyEnsure Apex Fund Services group policies are adhered toRespond to investor and audit related enquiriesEnsure all regulatory reporting (onshore and offshore) is delivered within the required timeframesProvide periodic reports and feedback to senior managementParticipate in presentations for business opportunities from recent and existing clientsBe responsible for change management where required,



including ad hoc project management (as required)Assist in the further development of current and existing global client relationships, optimizing service offerings, productivity and profitabilityQualificationFive plus years of proven experience managing an Investor Services/Transfer Agency team for alternative funds at a top tier institutional fund administratorDetailed knowledge of Transfer Agency systems, preferably Paxus and eFrontFlexibilityUp to date AML/KYC knowledgeUp to date FATCA knowledgeA very strong understanding of fund legal structures and the fund administration businessStrong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to drive changeStrong risk and control focusDemonstrated ability to manage complex projectsStrong planning, organizational skills and entrepreneurial skillsKnowledge of accounting, finance and investment conceptsRobust communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skillsMust be able to work with all levels within the organizationStrong multi-tasking skillsThe ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision-making scenariosAn ability and desire to work to tight deadlinesGood interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with colleagues, clients, other divisions and offices of the bank and professional intermediariesSalary ranges from CAD $ 80,000 - $ 100,000 with additional market competitive variable uncapped compensation based on performance.
