This pivotal position operates within the Acute Crisis Evaluation & Response Team. As a Registered Nurse, you'll provide essential client-centered services, addressing crisis situations, conducting assessments, and administering medications. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and cultivate communication between emergency mental health, psychiatry, and inpatient services to optimize patient safety and care quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and families in crisis situations - Administer medications according to scope of practice - Coordinate care plans with the mental health team - Support discharge planning and patient education - Conduct suicide and violence risk assessments
Requirements: - Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario - BScN preferred or equivalent credentials - Certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing is an asset - Experience in crisis intervention and risk assessment - Valid BCLS certification required
